Good Kickoff To Our TripWe booked the Wine & Maple tour to kickoff our weekend in VT and were so glad we did. We were immediately immersed in VT’s history and some of it’s most delicious items: maple everything and local wine. Greg’s tour was a great pre-cursor to the rest of the weekend as he offered many dining and “to-do” options that we wound up doing ourselves later. Would definitely recommend to others.
Wine and Maple Syrup Tour with Greg!Greg is an amazing tour guide! He drove us through beautiful Vermont hills and shared fun stories and travel advice with us. As a Vermont native, he gave fantastic recommendations of places to see and restaurants to try. This excursion to a Maple Syrup farm and a local winery was one of the highlights of our trip to Vermont! At the winery my fiance and I got to try 7 different kinds of wine each and were also given wine glasses from the winery. The Maple Syrup farm was very reasonably priced as well, which was cool because real Vermont maple syrup is often highly overpriced at hotels or in other tourist spots. A nice yummy lunch was included as well : )Greg was funny, personable, and really made the tour worth it. Would highly recommend and would do again!
Wine and Chocolate TourMy sister and I recently spent a few days at the Essex Resort in Essex Junction, Vermont. In addition to scheduling a cooking class there, we decided to take the Wine and Chocolate tour on their calendar. This proved to be a most enjoyable experience! Our host, Greg Doremus, checked in with me a few days before our reservation to confirm our plans and find out what we’d like in our box lunches. On the day, Greg was on time and proved an excellent guide and friendly companion. We visited the Lake Champlain chocolate factory (and bought too much chocolate but couldn’t resist!) and the Shelburne Winery, where we had a lovely tour and tasting, then enjoyed our lunch in their loft.Greg was great. He is knowledgeable about the area’s history as well as current things to see and do. He was patient, helpful and friendly. You couldn’t ask for a nicer guy to spend a couple of hours with. Definitely a great choice for an afternoon!
Wine & Maple Tour & PicnicA most enjoyable tour, especially our picnic lunch in the loft of a winery. Greg very thoughtfully telephoned ahead to check on preferences. He is a local, so very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He is enthusiastic, friendly and courteous.
